Dr Gail McDowell

Gail joined our team from the UK in October 2009 after graduating veterinary school in Glasgow. Being both from Scotland and a redhead, the clinic offers a great air-conditioned enviroment to hide out in during the summer months!

Her particular interests are in avian, diagnositic imaging and surgery. Further study in Australia has included an abdominal ultrasound course in February, an online Avian course in May and annual conferences as a member of the AAVMA and AAVAC. She is currently looking into post graduate courses to continue her education.

In her spare time she enjoys touring Australia, having already seen more of the country than most locals and has taken up scuba diving with a desire to swim with sharks. She has embraced the Aussie culture with her budgie, Ozzy and a galah, Halo.

Philip Lambley  BVetMed(Hons)

Dr Philip is on eave to visit his family in the U.K, but will be returning later this year.wink

Dr Philip joined our dedicated team in 2011 as our third vet in our ever expanding vet clinc. Born in Zimbabwe, he grown up in South Africa and went to university at The Royal Veterinary College in London so has a bit of a mixed accent, which no doubt is about to develop a bit of an Aussie twang. Philip made the long move over to South Australia to work along side Dr Chris as he has a keen interest in canine reproduction. Like Dr Chris and Dr Gail, he thoroughly enjoys surgery so enjoys scrubbing up to do a few of the many caeseraens we have at the clinic.

Philip is keen to develop the feline medicine side of the practice especially with regards to stem cell therapy  (something that has never been done in Australia before). In his spare time he enjoys exploring what Australia has to offer, especially The Barossa Valley where he spends a fair amount of his time walking and running.
